We''re committed to giving children back their childhood!Job Posting Title: Advanced Practice Provider NP or PA (Frisco)Location: Frisco - Ambulatory Surgical CenterAdditional Posting Details: Monday - Friday8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with after hour and weekend call rotation requirements.Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities The advanced practice provider, NP or PA will work independently and in collaboration with pediatric orthopedic surgeons at Scottish Rite for Childrens Frisco campus and/or other affiliated locations and are required to participate in after-hour call rotation. The NP or PA maintains independent clinics and supports the pediatric orthopedic surgeon with shared patient care responsibilities. The NP or PA conducts physical assessments, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, provides screenings and interventions, diagnoses orthopedic and sports medicine conditions, prescribes treatments and medications, performs procedures, and assists in the operating room. Required Skills/AbilitiesCandidates must be a graduate of an accredited advanced practice registered nursing program (APRN) or physician assistant (PA) program and are certified through a recognized accrediting agency and hold a current Texas licenseA minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric orthopedics or sports medicine with operating room experience and basic fracture management experience is strongly preferredMembership and active participation in professional organizations are beneficial and the desire to participate in pediatric sports medicine research is encouraged
