Job DescriptionA well-respected multi-specialty community-based medical group with branches throughout Yonkers, Inwood Section of Manhattan, and Bronx/Riverdale/Pelham Bay seeks a Primary Care Physician to join its cutting-edge multi-site practice. The Primary Care physician will provide preventive activities such as screenings, comprehensive health assessments, diagnosis and treatment of minor, acute and chronic medical conditions. All of the group''s sites are enabled by advanced healthcare technology. All examination rooms are appointed with innovative technology as electronic medical records and electronic practice management systems. This group is an NCQA recognized PCMH Level 3 and physicians are encouraged to become engaged and grow their clinical skills. The Primary Care Physician will join a team of dedicated, compassionate professionals. Responsibilities: Provides primary health care to clinical patients; performs complete and appropriate medical examinations. Provides high quality comprehensive care through interview and examination of patients; formulates diagnosis and institutes treatment based on objective data gathered; offers counseling and makes referrals as indicated (i.e. specialty clinics). Works with the other members of the Medical team to promote and maintain a high quality of medical care for the patients of the satellite health centers; to implement procedures and evaluate ongoing services. Weekend and night call average 1 week per month.Requirements: Medical Degree from an approved Medical School, MD or DO Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Board Certified; Active NY Medical license Current license to practice medicine in New York State. Current biannual registration certificate to practice medicine in NY State Completion of accredited training in an institution approved for post-graduate training.
