We offer our eligible team members competitive pay, paid holidays, medical/dental/life insurance, short and long-term disability, generous PTO package, 401(k) with company match, employee discounts on parts, service, and vehicles.Boyer Trucks - Drive Your Career ForwardESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Accept assigned jobs from Foreman, Director or Manager.Perform work at or above efficiency standards.Diagnose cause and malfunction and performs repairs.Save and tag parts for warranty or as requested.Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further repairs are needed or recommended.Document in detail, work performed on repairs.Road test when required.Participate in training as required.Keep abreast of manufacturer bulletins.Keep shop areas clean and safe.Maintain and accountable for all dealership owned tools, materials and equipment.Understand and comply with all federal, state and local regulations.Perform all duties and activities in a safe manner.Report any safety issues immediately to a supervisor.Additional duties as assigned.WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 75 lbs.Constantly moving 20 lbs. to move objects.Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.Normal range of hearing and vision.Bend, twist, kneel, crouch, work overhead.Employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, and kneel.Employee will be regularly using arms, hands, and fingers to feel, grasp, push, pull or squeeze and reachREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:Current DOT Inspector Certification.Graduate from a Two Year Diesel programCurrent Class A or B commercial driver''s license, and DOT health certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days.Maintain current technical certification in one computer-controlled diesel engine and one computer-controlled transmission.Continued progress towards Master Technician certifications.Continued improvement in quality of work and proficiency.At least one OEM certification in process or completedAt least three years of on-the-job experience as a heavy truck technicianAbility to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
