Eligibility may vary.Position descriptionThe Division of General Internal Medicine, located within the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, is currently seeking an Internist for a leadership appointment in our Executive, Development and International Section as Section Head. This section primarily encompasses the Executive Health Program, which is among the largest, oldest and most successful programs in the nation. Board certification in Internal Medicine is required. Practice and leadership experience within an outpatient Internal Medicine practice is essential, and experience in an executive health, international medicine or concierge medicine program is highly desirable. Additional certifications within preventive medicine are desirable as well.The selected candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and maturity needed to care for our episodic (''non-primary care'') patient population. While the program has grown steadily over the years, with strong financial performance, unprecedented demand has prompted a more aggressive strategy toward growth for both the Executive Health portion as well as our International Medicine program. Interests in advancing the science and practice of medicine within the division and the institution through research, education and practice innovation are added qualifications that will receive priority as the program is actively expanding into novel care models and offerings. This position includes an academic appointment in the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and provides opportunities to educate medical students and internal medicine residents.Please submit a letter of interest with your application to be considered for this position.License or certificationQualified candidates should be board-certified/board-eligible in internal medicine with a desire for scholarly activity.
