Youll be a key member of a new and growing team, so you can expect more autonomy and entrepreneurial spirit. The purpose of this position is for an individual to support projects regionally. Therefore, its expected that the individual joining us will be comfortable with some travel during construction, which could mean weekly travel to project sites.Were looking for someone who has demonstrated experience within commercial construction, more specifically in the ESCO space, and is comfortable taking ownership of projects involving complex pieces. We expect this individual to possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, is results oriented, consultative, and collaborative.Youre great at:People Management Regularly communicating, formally and informally company goals, policies, plans and priorities. Acting as a steward of McKinstry culture; communicating and influencing policies and procedures. Assigning and overseeing direct reports and other staff as required for project implementation.Managing Revenue and Operational Systems Creating and managing operating budgets. Forecasting revenue. Contributing to development of strategic and tactical business plans. Analyzing and delivering accurate and timely financial results. Mitigating risk on behalf of the company. Creating and implementing continuous improvement process. Reviewing project schedules and budgets. Participating in project risk and peer reviews.Building Cross-functional Relationships Developing and maintaining professional relationships with people in other departments (internal partners). Involving people in other departments in discussions and projects when appropriate. Providing support to people in other departments when requested and appropriate. Participating in cross-functional committees and teams. Looking for and promoting cross-functional operational opportunities. Coordinating implementation handoffs between internal departments. Participating as a leader within national construction management team to positively influence national Construction Management team growth.What we would like to see from you: BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture orFacilities Management or equivalent work experience required. Three to five (3-5) years of leadership over project teams with experience in engineering, construction,facilities services required Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project required. Working knowledge of scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera and/or Suretrak required. Experience with a General Contractor or Major Mechanical Subcontractor preferred. PE, CFM, CEM, CPM, LEED professional designations are a plus. Knowledge of construction management, commercial building process, financial acumen, and systems. Intermediate knowledge of construction financial programs and software required. Ability to create pro-formas, budgets, revenue forecasting and manage to stated budgets required.Why McKinstry:Transformational change (requires bold action. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
