The scope of the role includes acting as liaison with the organ procurement organization and the OPTN, assesses human, financial and material resources of patients and families; coordinates information flow among medical, ancillary, nursing, financial and insurance company staff; represents the transplant program through involvement in hospital and community activities; participates in the development and maintenance of the transplant statistical database.
