Work Schedule: Monday 9-6 Tuesday 11-8 Wednesday 11-8 Thursday 9-6 Friday 9-6 Local Travel: N/ATasks: Provide crisis intervention to adult sexual violence survivors.Provide individual and group counseling, case management.Supervise and train volunteers and interns.Assist clients in goal setting and action plans that will result in client empowerment.Provide referral information, counseling and emotional support in a non-judgmental, non-directive manner to clients.Maintain accurate records and appropriate documentation of services.Provide written information and recommendations on issues that arise while providing services. Report suspected and prior abuse/neglect to either Child Protective Services or Adult Protective Services when appropriate.To help break down barriers, Mobile Advocacy is required, this includes meeting the client in the community, work or other safe places, etc. and accompany clients to appointments as neededCommunicate concerns about clients - both adults and children - to supervisorAttend and complete Crisis Intervention Training Maintain accurate records and appropriate documentation of services.Other duties may be assigned Education: Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work requiredExperience: Three years counseling experience working with children and youths Six months experience working with groupsLanguage: Bilingual RequiredComputer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteCertificates & Licenses: State of Texas License to provide counseling or therapy -LMSW or LPC or LMFT. Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk around for extended periods of time is required. Employee will also need to need to squat or bend, reach outward or upward to effectively discharge job duties. Job incumbent must be able to lift/carry and/or push/pull up to 40 lbs.
