About Us: Milford Regional Medical Center is a full-service, community and regional teaching hospital located in Milford, Mass. and serves patients from more than 20 towns in Central Massachusetts. The 149-bed medical center is a nonprofit, acute-care facility, where more than 300 primary care and specialty physicians are committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to our community with dignity, compassion and respect. This nurse manager is responsible for providing clinical leadership to nursing department staff on both our Fourth & Fifth Floor Units. The Fifth Floor is a 25 bed Med Surg Unit. The Fourth Floor is a 15 bed Med Oncology Unit. This individual is the operations manager and assumes 24-hour accountability for care provided on these units. Statement of Purpose: The nurse manager maintains responsibility for the provision of professional nursing care demonstrated through the nursing process involving assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation. The manager must demonstrate a competent level of behavior in a professional role-including activities related to promotion of quality of care, performance appraisal, education, collegiality, ethics, collaboration, research and resource utilization. Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and BSN preferred Certification / License: Current RN license in Massachusetts Current BLS & ACLS required, Coronary Care Course (or challenge exam) Experience: 3 years management experience, 5 years progressive clinical experience
