DescriptionThe Senior IT Project Manager oversees various system projects and/or programs of a highly complex nature. The Senior IT Project Manager work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior IT Project Manager assembles and leads project team, identifies appropriate resources needed, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of project. The Senior IT Project Manager will actively manage stakeholder partnerships and mitigates risks and must be familiar with the system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. When managing programs, this individual oversees the interdependencies and integration of interrelated projects, and sets strategies and leads program execution to deliver longer term business value. The IT Project Manager should possess specialized knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworks used to manage risks and issues unique to technology projects. Begins to influence department''s strategy. The Senior IT PM will make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.Position OverviewThe Infrastructure Services Governance (ISG) team is responsible for the oversight of a large software replacement portfolio consisting of twenty plus Workstreams, and will encompass a large multitude of IT team stakeholders. Reporting to an Associate Director, the Senior IT Project Manager will work closely with selected vendor resources and Humana HPE teams to develop, assign, and manage the Humana related project tasks. The Sr. IT PM will require substantial communication skills in order to communicate and report to senior level leadership. There will be required travel to meet on-site in Louisville, KY once or twice a month as needed for team meetings.Other Position ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain work stream communication plan for all stakeholdersEstablish and maintain work stream documentation repositoryEnsures detailed Provider deliverables are properly evaluated and approved by HumanaManages Workstream escalations in their areaEscalates issues and risks to the PMO that could impact the overall Program schedule, cost or scope.Understands ongoing work activity status, risks and issues for their Workstream, driving risk mitigation & issue closureParticipates in Gate review and recommends acceptance disposition for their Workstream responsibility areaAccountable for ensuring overall deliverables are in accordance with the SOWRequired QualificationsBachelor''s degree or equivalent experience3 or more years of technical project management experienceDemonstrated experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Demonstrated experience in technical product selection, technical design and practical implementation of IT solutionsVendor Management experienceExperience working within project budget constraintsPresentational and meeting facilitation skillsAbility to travel to Louisville, KY office one or twice a month for on-site meetingsAdditional InformationFor this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated (preferred) or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while on-site at work.
