A health services network in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a promising Night shift opportunity with their growing staff in Manhattan.ResponsibilitiesThe Respiratory Therapist (RT) will be responsible for helping patients experiencing difficulty breathing learn to use various equipment and techniques to aid in clearer and more efficient breathing.Qualifications2+ years of experience as a working Respiratory Therapist Graduate of an accredited Respiratory SchoolCurrent RCP state licensure, in good standingCRTT or RRT certificationCPR certificationAbility, understanding and proper utilization of the following: nasal cannula, venti mask, USN, non-Rebreather masks, changing regulators, pulse oximetry, petency in performance criteria of Medication and Medical Gas Administration (Proper use of metered dose inhalers, peak flow meters, Oxygen, Heliox, Nitric Oxide etc.)Clinical competency performance in ETT placement and securing airway. Suctioning ETT, including closed system suctioning, open system with sterile techniqueExperience with Ventilator and BiPAP/CPAP setup and managementSolid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsPatient orientedGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:Bachelor''s Degree in Respiratory TherapyExperience working with the Pediatric populationExperience in a Home setting
