Responsibilities:Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completionSupport the execution of DOT, Private, and County roadway infrastructure construction including street, storm sewer, traffic signal, signing/striping, traffic control, lighting, pedestrian and other associated infrastructure design.Support heavy civil infrastructure construction management, including stormwater, sanitary, potable water and other underground utilitiesCoordination with other disciplines and subcontractorsManaging project accounting and invoicingA working knowledge of the Austin area agency design preferences, street standards, criteria and specifications will be an important part of their role.Develop and maintain good client relationships with the technical and project leaders as well municipal and county clientele.Demonstrate leadership and project Management skills.RequirementsA minimum of ten (10) years similar combined highway / roadway design and management experience(Preferred) Licensed professional engineering in Texas (or a state that reciprocates with Texas)Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited United States located universityManagement experience in TxDOT or similar roadway design projects including oversight of development ofExperience managing project engineer task leaders, designers and project administrative personnelManagement experience in client relations, budgets, invoicing and scheduling as related to the roadway designTxDOT Pre-Certifications in various roadway design expertise is preferredAbility to lead multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong oral and written communication skillsExcellent written and verbal communication.Ability to read, interpret and verify field installation quality based on the method statement of the submission: Concrete, Steel, Civil Works, Installation methods and details, Developing Scope of Work documentsWillingness to spend a high percentage of time in the field and communicate with the contracting community to install construction process controls, find solutions with the construction team to complete current objectives and develop ways to provide construction efficiencies in future scopes.Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals.
