Our Scripps System-wide Resource Services (SSRS) department supports the entire Scripps Health system Join our Scripps SSRS team as a Registered Nurse where you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice. This includes the following: Assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients'' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients'' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. Our SSRS department helps support all five (5) Scripps Health hospital campuses: Encinitas, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, San Diego, Chula Vista, and our Rancho Bernardo Urgent Care. We offer 3 types of positions with our SSRS ED RN Team: Seasonal: You are an actual Scripps employee where you will be assigned for a 13-week contract that can be extended 4, 8, or 13 weeks depending on the organizations need and RNs availability to extend (cannot stay longer than 26 weeks total). Resource Team: These nurses are full-time benefited staff where you may be contracted to one site for 4 weeks, up to 6 months at a time to fill a leave of absence or vacancy. Once the contract is complete, then the RN will be assigned to cover another contract. Like an in-house traveler, shift start times may vary with each assignment. For our Resource positions we offer Full-Time VARIED schedule. Float Pool: RNs self-schedule in 4-week blocks to meet shift and weekend requirements. This position helps cover all 5 campus sites and urgent care. For our Float Pool positions we offer Full-Time NIGHT schedule.Qualifications Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in nursing preferred. TNCC Certification preferred. Required Qualifications: 18 Months of recent RN experience in an adult Emergency Department (ED) within a hospital setting. Current CA RN License. Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS prior to start. Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing. Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors. Travel Requirements: Work between the five (5) Scripps Health hospital campuses: Encinitas, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, San Diego, Chula Vista, and our Rancho Bernardo Urgent Care. The following are not eligible for hiring incentives: Internal candidates Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter) Must remain in original department/specialty Must remain in original Job Title Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
