Healing made personal.Roles & Responsibilities:Assist the Physical Therapist during patient testing, evaluation and/or complex procedures.Carry out corrective exercises and treatment of patients as determined by Plan of Care and evaluation performed by Physcial struct patients on segment of the program, including proper use of wheelchairs, cruches, cane, braces, and prosthetic appliances and devices.Provide treatment plan for patients including: exercises, massage, use of heat, water, light and elctricity, ambulation skills and activities of daily living (excluding outdoor ambulation).Direct and aid patients in active and passive exercises, muscel re-education and functional training using pulleys, weights, steps and inclined surfaces.Requirements:Education: Associates Degree; Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program with a current New York State License (certification)Experience: Completion of clinical affiliationsLicenses: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)Strength Through DiversityThe Mount Sinai Health System believes that diversity, equity, and inclusion are key drivers for excellence.
