Senior Lead Manager DBA / Database Performance SME

Job DescriptionThe Sr Manager - Lead DBA Performance SME is responsible for managing a team of database performance engineers and handling all performance related activities related to Oracle database & replication technologies for RxConnect pharmacy systems. This person is also responsible for performance analysis of Oracle database & replication issues in Performance Testing and for supporting critical production environment issues. Also acts as a Database performance architect for infrastructure and database technologies stability, scalability & roadmap for RxConnect. This person will provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the team, ensuring the successful management of multiple programs/projects and will lead through transformation. Successful candidate will have a proven track record of optimally leading teams of highly skilled performance engineers.Responsibilities: Review System design documents for new business projects Address potential conflicts that impact current delivery commitments Work independently and manage the work of others in a fast-paced environment and effectively meet challenging deadlines Strive for excellence in performance and surpassing established quality and productivity standards Support performance testing team in review of database performance test cases Support performance testing team in DB performance tests results review Support capacity planning team in establishing models for database performance metrics Provide support for critical database issues in production Drive SDLC process improvements for database performance activities Provide updates to Sr. management for critical database projects & issues Coordinate with Oracle vendor for RxConnect DB activities Manage & drive database & replication technology issue resolution process Work experience with Unix commands and shell scripting. Knowledge of best practices for coding and design. Demonstrated experience writing proficient, performance-oriented code Experience with performance measurement tools such as AWR reports, JProbe, VMSTAT, NETSTAT Understanding of any version management tool like SVN, VSS etc. Experience in performance testing and performance analysis of large-scale applications Knowledge of performance life cycle in conjunction with development life cycle Strong Skills in Database Concepts, primarily Oracle Exposure to Basic Database Design, SQL Queries Written communication skills: ability to provide clear instructions, and concise updates.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 95,000Maximum: 209,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
