Job Descriptionhe Regional Chief Medical Officer is responsible for leading all clinical aspects for the Medical Director team and regions they oversee. This leader works collaboratively with the CMO and Deputy CMO of Medicaid to achieve overall company goals of growth, financial performance, and clinical quality improvement. The Regional Chief Medical Officer collaborates in the development of, and manages the execution of, national medical policies and strategic national priorities for which health plan CMOs are responsible including, but not limited to national comprehensive medical policy and programs, healthy equity initiates, population health strategies and cost effectiveness of medical services. In this role you will also work in partnership with the Medicaid business leaders to provide clinical expertise and business direction to enhance medical management programs. You'll lead a team of physician(s) who manage medical relationships with state government agencies, provider network organizations and other physical and behavioral health entities to facilitate the delivery of appropriate quality care.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 187,000Maximum: 400,100Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required QualificationsPost-residency experience of at least 5 years involving substantial direct patient care during this period at multiple levels of care. 5 or more years Clinical experience pertinent to the patient population(s) being managed, specifically complex populations, Medicaid and/ or Medicare. 3 or more years Utilization Review and Care Management experience required. 5 or more years of leadership experience.COVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
