Job DescriptionReporting to the Manager of Business Information Services - Analytical Data Services, this individual is a specialist in database and application development. She/he is responsible for the prototyping, design, development and maintenance of enterprise-wide analytical applications, databases, and decision support systems. This individual is also a business specialist applying plan, process, and subject matter expertise directly to programmatic constructs and developmental systems. Incumbent organizes, directs, and independently manages multiple project efforts. He/she delivers analytical, profiling and reporting business solutions using information technologies and a rapid software development lifecycle maximizing the benefits derived from the company's information assets while at the same time ensuring integrity. - This position requires an understanding of medical claims, healthcare principles, and coding ability. - Under general supervision, formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. - Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. - Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs.- Competent to work on most phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities but requires instruction and guidance in other phases. - Independently designs and/or codes solutions for the business primarily using ETL tools.- Acts as a technical contributor to translation of business requirements to technical specifications and as a technical contributor in the design of new database constructs or enhancements. - Independently performs and assists other team members in providing ongoing system maintenance, research, problem resolution and on-call support tasks for existing systems. - Is fully familiar and compliant with the efficient utilization of the prescribed methodologies and ensures compliance for the work of all aligned resources.- Performs unit testing, as well as integration and system testing, according to detailed test plans to ensure high-quality systems. - Assists business partners with User Acceptance Testing. - With limited direction, supports the implementation of systems into production, including integration of purchased solutions. - Responsible for Code Asset Management for all database objects including SQL procedures/functions and SSIS packages. - Supports and promotes the reuse of assets across the organization. - May lead or act as a subject matter expert for projects and/or service requests directly related to the ETL process.- Receives some supervision and direction as regards prioritization of work but is competent to work independently.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 60,000Maximum: 128,700Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications-Experienced database developer needed for SQL/SSIS development in a Microsoft shop. -Technologies limited to TSQL and SSIS. No front end development. - Position responsible for the development, support, and optimization of complex TSQL DDL and DML database objects and SSIS packages. - Developers participate in non-development tasks such as data analysis, data modeling, user training and documentation. - Developers gather requirements for custom data solutions and build relationships of trust with internal departments. - The ideal candidate will enjoy solving puzzles and designing creating data solutions in a highly collaborative team environment.COVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
