Job DescriptionCVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Manager, Digital Engineering to plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects to deliver Digital Accessibility Engineering initiatives and redesign customer facing digital assets for CVS Health. Duties include: work with the Sr. Director to lead and guide the work of technical staff implementing the A11y Engineering Program to transform health and wellness via products that enable consumer engagement and a best-in-class experience, leveraging a new approach to developing software that uses the latest design approaches, technologies, and processes; coordinate between business and technical aspects of projects and partner with Product, Engineering, Engineering Managers, Tech Leads and leadership to make digital assets accessible and more inclusive by driving A11y into a comprehensive shift left model; manage project execution to ensure CVS Health products track to A11y Program standards, processes and practices, and promote, implement and track use of A11y Program into team workflows across Web, iOS and Android platforms; collaborate with Engineers to teach A11y front-end best practices through documentation, training and consulting; ensure the needs and expectations of internal A11y Product stakeholders are met and promote transparency by communicating through SAFe/SCRUM practices; assist with test plan iterations and manage improvements to the A11y Engineering test process flow; partner with Accessibility Design team to build A11y into Product Design by understanding how users experience products using Assistive Technology, participate in and contribute to Accessible Design Decisions, and identify how design intent affects A11y AC (Acceptance Criteria); partner with Engineering teams during development to ensure A11y AC is met and feature functionality has A11y AC written / available; advise Engineers on the A11y AC, answer technical how-to questions for A11y in Web, IOS & Android development, and help Engineers test and validate A11y AC; analyze validation test results to identify training opportunities, engineering methods in need of correction, components in need of A11y refinements, and processes lacking appropriate A11y support; attend relevant stand-ups and status meetings; and support, manage and track third-party A11y Audits from audit kickoff to remediation and verification of audit findings.Required QualificationsMaster's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field and (2) years of experience in each of the following: User Experience and A11y; Web, iOS and Android platforms; Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles; Designing Assistive Technology, contributing to Accessible Design Decisions, and identifying how design intent affects A11y AC (Acceptance Criteria); Accessibility standards, principles, techniques, and best practices including WCAG 2.1, Revised Sec 508, WAI-ARIA, and ATAG; Mapping WCAG 2.1 success criteria to development requirements for Web, iOS and Android applications; JavaScript libraries and tooling including React; Open source a11y tools and rulesets including axe-core; Assistive technologies: JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver; and Leading large cross functional project management initiatives.COVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
