Job DescriptionThe Senior Manager, Outbound Transportation Support leads the strategy and execution of processes which enable CVS to effectively move product to its retail stores. This role's primary purpose is to manage all phases of Outbound routing, including but not limited to; creation of daily executable route plans for store deliveries and overarching delivery optimization planning. By leading a team of analysts and planners, this person is responsible for making calculated decisions that drive value and influence cross functional teams to affect the business in ways that allow for CVS Transportation to provide a level of service to its customers that is second to none. The candidate elected for this position should be an effective leader capable of managing personnel at various levels to ensure that numerous concurrent deliverables are achieved while continuously challenging colleagues at all levels to innovate and drive change that positively impacts all facets of Outbound Transportation. This role is the leader of a team that has direct influence over an annual transportation spend of $190M.Knowledge of: Transportation Operations Distribution Center Operations Transportation Routing process Retail (store) Operations Budget ManagementSkill In: Leadership competencies and team building Data analytics and Workflow design Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Applied knowledge of distribution and transportation operations, store order processing, and/or retail customer service Experience with Microsoft Office suiteAbility To: Lead a diverse team of analysts and planners Manage a dynamic workload consisting of concurrent deliverables Travel domestically when required (15%) Work with and influence Distribution Center and Transportation Leadership Deliver results in a fast paced, deadline oriented, priority shifting environment Engage colleagues at different levels of the organization Influence others with positive results through clear, collaborative communications (written and verbal) across all levels of the organization Achieve regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the jobPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 75,400Maximum: 158,300Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required QualificationsRequired:-5-8+ years of experience in supply chain-3+ years of knowledge in transportation or Distribution/Warehouse experience-Experience with data analysis and the following software systems - WMS, TMS, Routing software-Experience with Microsoft Office suite-Supervisory experience managing 2-3 direct reports (preferably in multiple locations)COVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
