Job DescriptionFully RemoteThe Lead Director Financial Reporting & Analytics will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer in a capacity that leads the Financial Analytics and Reporting Team. Role responsibility is to lead the analytical activities for identifying medical cost initiatives on behalf of the Health Plan completing complex medical cost analysis and presenting findings to cross functional leadership team. Work with constituent areas in the local market, finance, actuarial and MEU leadership to execute and influence actionable items to mitigate medical cost drivers. Champion ongoing communication with key stakeholders to maximize collaboration and drive impact. Lead the coordination of complex financial and claims analytics to determine the impact and support local market decisions. Position entails discussing the financial data and impact and assisting the local market to make strategic savings decisions to help lower medical costs. Additional responsibilities include leading the financial validations efforts needed to onboard provider and vendor relationships related to their payment structure and performance evaluations needed to establish KPIs.This is a leadership role where the person is responsible for a plan budgeted Revenue of $2.8B, 5.2 member months, 2.3B Claims annually, and over $80M SAI savings initiatives. Fundamental components of the role include: Leads team responsible for 1) development and execution of complex and large-scale SQL data structures/pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data to generate insights and addresses reporting needs,2) , implement and execute automated job scheduler to process stored procedures and refresh routine report data, and 3) cross-functionally to build and convert algorithms and models into production systems to support enterprise initiatives.To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to find solutions through challenging work experiences and be a strategic partner to plan for future vision. You will also bring previous experience in training and mentoring direct reports.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 100,000Maximum: 221,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications10+ years of related work experienceKnowledge of: 8+ years of experience leading diverse teams, including leadership of data analyst, analytic consultants, or other analytics professionals 5+ years of a combination of consulting and financial and operational experience and ensuring client guidelines are met 5+ years of experience with Excel for reporting, analytics, & modeling 5+ years of experience in Financial Modeling and Variance Analysis, Cost Analysis, Forecasting, and P&L validations 5+ years of experience working in healthcare insurance analytics with complex data structures and large datasets in a real business setting, experience with SQL and Database warehouses The ability to be on site for meetings as needed (includes plane travel)COVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
