Clinical Pharmacist - Prior Authorizations

Job DescriptionThe Clinical Pharmacist -Prior Authorizations (PA) position is an exciting opportunity to use your clinical knowledge at a Fortune 4 company You'll work alongside passionate individuals in a patient-focused and supportive environment. This is a clinically challenging role that involves the entire process of PA- creating and implementing criteria and reviewing medical studies and charts. The primary function of the clinical pharmacist is to review PA requests, verify proven and/or medically necessary indications and review clinical documentation in support of prior authorization reviews. You will also provide internal pharmacist support to the PA team and member services department therefore excellent oral and written communication skills are needed. The clinical pharmacist will also perform foreign drug reviews, medical record reviews, case analysis, provide clinical support and collaboration for development of new drug policies/revisions to existing drug policies, and clinical projects. We are looking for someone with excellent organization skills who can quickly assess and adapt to constantly changing situations. Strong attention to detail is needed.
