Job DescriptionFully remote position candidates can apply from any state. Working hours will be Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM in the candidates time zone with some flexibility. The Instructional Design Specialist will be responsible for bringing to life synchronous and asynchronous elements of the learning curriculum. This person is a critical team member within the CVS Health Enterprise, Learning, Development and Performance Center of Excellence (ELD&P) within the Human Resources department.The ideal candidate is learner-centric, highly creative, and an expert in utilizing adult learning strategies to create both a non-digital learning solutions and to create eLearning solutions for a variety of audiences within the CVS Health business units. The Instructional Designer works closely with the Learning Program Owner to define learning objectives, project scope, and budget in order to design and develop both a non-digital learning solutions and to create eLearning solutions for a variety of audiences within the CVS Health business units that is monitored and adjusted throughout the learner's lifecycle thru design and development of top-quality experiences in support of performance and business goals. They are an out of the box thinker with a growth mindset and thrive in a rapidly changing environment with an agile space. This person actively seeks out innovative learning solutions that will deliver an engaging, measurable, and effective learning experience for colleagues working in the PBM of CVS Health. Collaborates with ELD & P Workforce, stakeholders and/ or Learning Program Owners to define, plan and align on Instructor-Led (virtual or in-person) design elements as defined in SOW and relative feedback on program effectiveness Consults on design of synchronous (event-based) alternatives/modalities to create the most efficient and cost-effective learning approach relative to the SOW and relative feedback on program effectiveness Uses the latest formal instructional design methodology to design and develop sophisticated, performance-focused non-digital solutions using a variety of experiences and activity approaches Designs visual elements (such as infographics, print and digital templates) for each solution that engage targeted audience(s) and are visually appealing through authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline 360 and administrative requirements through the learning management system Drives solution implementation utilizing the Learning Management System and production tools to track project plan, program data and ensures program analysis to determine expectations and gaps for the intended audience Develops storyboards for eLearning courses and Train-the-Trainer sessions in collaboration with Learning Program Owners Coordinates the training plan to include managing project budget (where applicable), project plan, and working with business and ELD&P partners as needed to ensure project goals and quality standards are met Simultaneously manages multiple, relationally complex and/or high-profile projects for enterprise-wide or business-specific implementation and ensure project goals Performs quality reviews to ensure program meets quality and design standards; ensure digital solutions function in targeted audiences' environment technological architecture Works in partnership as appropriate with external vendors to deliver state-of-the-art, technology-based digital solutionsPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 43,700Maximum: 97,400Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years' work experience in the field of Instructional Design in a corporate training or related function Demonstrated knowledge in application of performance-based instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, performance consulting and strategy as a subject matter expert with a focus on virtual learning technologies and techniques Prior experience designing for a remote learning environment A commitment to our purpose of helping people on their path to better health Experience in application of performance-based instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, performance consulting and educational media desiredPreferred Qualifications Ability to communicate with and influence others Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to breakdown complex processes into scalable and digestible chunks for learners working in a remote environment Experience connecting key performance indicators (KPIs) to a continuous learning strategy Knowledge of adult learning principles and design strategies Experience designing effective program evaluation strategies to the L3 and L4 levels Ability to synthesize Key Performance Data and develop data stories linked to L3 and L4 evaluation Strong sense to identify priorities, potential tradeoffs, and execution variables specific the business landscape Comfort operating and collaborating in a remote work environment Strong project leadership skills Strong collaborator with active listening skills Advanced Degree in Instructional Design or related field Prior experience developing learning solutions for non-exempt employees Skilled in using eLearning authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline 360 Skilled in translating raw content into storyboard formatEducationBachelor's Degree in design related field or equivalent experience being 4+ years work experience in the field of Instructional Design in a corporate training or related functionBusiness OverviewBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
