Oracle Database Administrator

Job DescriptionThe Oracle Database Administrator is a highly skilled technical position that involves intricate knowledge of Oracle databases. You will be responsible for all critical functions that the database administrator performs including database configuration, tuning, maintenance, patching, and problem diagnosis and resolution in development, UAT and production environments. We're seeking a great teammate that is willing to dig in and do what it takes to make the team successful. Effective communication with the IS Application teams is critical to achieving success with this position. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: tIdentifying and resolving problems occurring in all database environments including performance related issues (i.e. database & SQL tuning).tPerforming database software installs, configurations, patches, and upgrades for on-prem and cloud servers. tSupporting DBA activities, reorgs, index builds, etc. tSupporting Oracle GoldenGate and Active Data Guard replication. tUtilizing DBA tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager, TOAD, etc. Assisting with Disaster Recovery testing. tParticipating in 24/7 on-call rotation.This position is available remote from anywhere in the US.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 75,400Maximum: 158,300Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualificationst5+ years experience supporting critical databases in a high profile type of organization.t5+ years experience in Oracle, to include:t2+ years Oracle RAC experience.t2+ years of Oracle GoldenGate experience.t2+ years of Active Data Guard experience.t2+ years of automation experience.Preferred QualificationstExperience in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Unix OS. tExperience in Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.tExperience with other RDBMS platforms such as PostgreSQL, SQLServer, DB2, etc is a plus.tHighly organized, ability to multitask.tSolid ability to diagnose issues and problem solve.tDemonstrated ability to utilize communication skills to express ideas in a logical, decisive manner.tUnderstanding of SAFe Agile.tUnderstanding of DevOps and CI/CD tools.tExperience with Ansible.EducationBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required, plus one additional year of experience required for each year of college not attained.Business OverviewBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
