Job DescriptionThe DB performance SME is responsible for handling all performance related activities related to Oracle database & replication technologies for RxConnect pharmacy system. This person is also responsible for Database administration, upgrades, migration and performance analysis of Oracle database & replication issues in Performance Testing and for supporting critical production environment issues. Also act as an advisor on database technologies stability, scalability & roadmap for RxConnect.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 75,000Maximum: 167,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications Ideal candidate will have 10+ years of IS/IT experience, with most of the experience in Oracle technologies and Performance engineering Good DBA skills. Should have good experience on RAC 12c/19c databases Experience in Active/Active Golden gate replication implementation Experience in Oracle PLSQL, Oracle Veridata, Oracle Streams, MariaDB, MySQL, RMAN(backup/recovery) Experience in Unix Shell Scripting and Unix commands Experience in triaging issues in high volume Oracle RAC implementations Very strong interpersonal skills - including verbal and written communication, meeting management, conflict resolution, team building Demonstrated leadership experience Strong problem solving skills: innovation, collaboration, risk/benefit analysis Demonstrated experience with multiple components of information technology infrastructure, including multiple operating systems, distributed systems, Web-centric architectures, various hardware components, network infrastructure components, systems management tools and database management systems Ability to work with little or no supervision and minimal assistancePreferred Qualifications Operational experience with at least three of the following: UNIX, Oracle, storage, Networking or Middleware Understanding of performance testing measures (CPU utilization, response time, network latency, think time etc.). Work experience with Unix commands and shell scripting. Knowledge of concepts related to Heap, Memory, Threads, CPU and how they influence performance and scalability Knowledge of best practices for coding and design. Demonstrated experience writing proficient, performance oriented code Experience with performance measurement tools such as AWR reports, JProbe, VMSTAT, NETSTAT Understanding of any version management tool like SVN, VSS etc. Experience in performance testing and performance analysis of large scale applications Knowledge of performance life cycle in conjunction with development life cycle Strong Skills in Database Concepts, primarily Oracle Exposure to Basic Database Design, SQL Queries Written communication skills: ability to provide clear instructions, and concise updates.
