Job DescriptionThis is a fully telework role. Standard business hours Monday-Friday.8am 55pmUnder direction, manages movement and synchronization of application components through the development life cycle into the production environment. All processes must meet overall Software Configuration Management Standards, Code Asset Management and Internal/ExternalAudit requirements. With assistance of more senior staff, the SoftwareConfiguration Specialist learns and assures ADS requirements for application changes, emergency fixes are understood and implemented efficiently.Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:Creates ClearCase, PVCS and/or Endevor projects to house application code or artifacts within theCode Asset Management repository.Assists Enterprise users with questions or issues related to ClearCase, PVCS and/or Endevor repositories reported to the CAM Help DeskCreates Robocopy and Perl migration scripts to move code through the Application Development Life Cycle for development, QA testing and production migrations.Participates in ensuring the integrity of company code and data assets utilizing state-of the-art migration and technical tools, 7x24. - With guidance and direction schedules the delivery of production code and data to QA and Productionenvironments according to Release Management standards.Learns and understand the configuration of the production libraries and the importance of adhering to Aetna standards.Reviews procedures to satisfy code asset management/audit requirements and retainsdocumentation relevant to migrations. Provides operational support, identifies problems and assists others in the analysis and resolution of production issues.Learns the unit's procedures and reviews training documentation. Uses standard database tools for reporting. Follows the system management product instructionsfor end user workstation code migration. With direction and guidance ensures compliance to Capability Maturity Model (CMM) direction setthrough the Configuration Control Board. Customer/Account Management: Understands business organization and objectives, task scope, and the impact of decisions on the organization and customers. Follows department processes and make efficient and effective use of resources.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 18.50Maximum: 33.65Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications1+ years experience in computer operations, with a background in mainframe, midrange, and distributed computing environments.Preferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of mainframe and distributed software, such as ClearCase, PVCS, Endevor, DOS, MS Systems Management Server, MS Access, Command Line knowledge of both Windows and Unix, MS Office products, JCL, TSO.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.EducationAssociate's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Business OverviewBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
