Job DescriptionSalesforce Platform Architect Manager - Role & Responsibilities Lead process for consistent Platform Documentation & Reference Architecture:o Lead activities to Build & Maintain Reference Architecture Diagram(s) for the Platform to show our Architecture Landscape and various "double-click" views into the Applications/Consoles, Components/Capabilities, Integrations, etc. which are currently built on our Org(s)o Establish a process whereby Program Solution Architects and Technical Leads can contribute to the Reference Architecture by centralizing Solution Design Sketches, Technical Documentation, PowerPoint walkthroughs, and other helpful artifacts as part of their Solution Architecture Delivery Process/Lifecycle.o Assist Platform Technical Leads and Developers with low level Technical Architecture documentation and maintenance, and tie these low level Solution/Capability Documentation/Architectures to the high level Platform Reference Architecture.o Assist the Program Strategy team, Product Owners, & Business stakeholders with mapping business Personas and Capabilities to Platform Reference Architecture and Technical Architecture. Provide Technical Leadership & Guidance:o Establish Salesforce Platform Design Consulting Sessions with participation from Salesforce Technical Architects, Technical Leads, Developers, etc. to provide guidance on new Solutions being designed by Solution Architects and Technical Leads.o Launch a Salesforce "Community of Practice" to evangelize Salesforce Platform best practices & guidelines and promote Salesforce learning, certifications, hackathons, etc. at CVS Health. Define and improve Platform Governance Framework & Operating Model:o Contribute alongside Platform Technical Leads and Technical Architects to update the Platform Guidelines & Best Practices, Integration Patterns, and Design Patterns/Decision Guides and establish a recurring process to keep these documents up-to-date in tandem with Salesforce Platform Spring/Summer/Winter Release Cycles and evolving CVS Health Enterprise Architecture Standards.o Establish Salesforce Platform Architecture Review Board (ARB) Process to augment and/or replace existing WPI/EAG Architecture Governance practices and align Console Program Delivery Solution Architects on ARB Operating Model/Process. o Refactor existing Platform Design Review and Data Model Review Governance Forums and tie to "upstream" Design Consulting and ARB Forums and "downstream" DevSecOps deployment & version control practices Drive Platform Roadmap & Planning with a platform first approacho Collaborate with ESO Strategy/Program Delivery, Console Programs, and other Dependent IT Programs to develop and maintain a Platform Roadmap in conjunction with overall "Consolidated" IT Roadmap efforts.o Assist ESO Strategy/Program Delivery in rationalizing Capabilities/Features from all Programs to promote synergies and reusability across Business Consoles/Programs.o Provide Recommendations for new Features to be added to the Platform Roadmap/Backlogo Provide solutions that are aligned to platform, shared components, reuse and scale first approach Team and delivery management -This position directly manages a highly specialized team of IT professionals consisting of employees and contractors. - Create a sustainable bench of Salesforce platform architecture experience- Partners with and influences business and IT delivery areas to implement platform strategies - Assists senior management in developing and communicating services and strategies throughout the organization. - Anticipates future resource demand and ensures resource availability in alignment with budget objectives. - Fosters and engages in teamwork across Solution architects- Develops and inspires organization talent.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 95,000Maximum: 209,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications- 8+ years recent and related experience with enterprise scale information systems, architecture abstractions, design patterns and hybrid solutions.- 2+ years executive-level presentations- Demonstrated leader in driving Information Technology as a business success enabler- IT delivery or development experience at some point in the career is required- Healthcare experience a significant plusExperience with object-oriented modeling principles (inheritance, polymorphism) and methods (use cases, sequence diagrams, etc.).- 4+ years enterprise architecture- 1+ years executive-level presentationsPreferred QualificationsDemonstrates Master of Design or software engineering at the system level.- Recognized as a subject matter expert and leader throughout the business and IT communities. - Demonstrated understanding of industry and technology trends. - Anticipates and proactively responds to future customer, industry and information technology needs. - Demonstrates master knowledge and confidence in both business & technical discussions.- Ability to multi-task and rapidly switch context between architecture initiatives. - Ability to act as an unbiased, objective, and respected liaison conveying business information needs and opportunities to IT and technology constraints to the business.- Effectively communicates the architecture to all levels of the organization. -Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to communicate and influence appropriately at all levels of the organization including written, verbal and visual presentations.- Effective collaborator and consensus-builder, who can apply outcome-based leadership across teams and organizations. - Flexible and creative with the ability to propose innovative ideas and collaborate with diverse teams to achieve positive outcomes. - Master-level situational analysis and decision-making abilities. - Ability to think creatively and drive innovation. - High EQ with excellent listening, fast learning, writing, documentation and problem-solving skills a must. - Experience with any of the following approaches: Agile/Scrum Development & Management, Scaled Agile Framework, Iterative & Incremental Development, Continuous Integration and Delivery. - Advanced-level knowledge of technologies such as: mobile/web frameworks, omni- channel experience design, hybrid cloud, security & privacy, action arbitration, IOT, event streaming, AI/machine learning, consents, preferences, microservices, containerization, APIs, SOA, messaging, etc- Mastery of design considerations for high volume transaction systemsEducationArchitecture certification.- Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience. - Master's degree in Computer Science preferred.Salesforce Architect certificationBusiness OverviewBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
