Job DescriptionCVS is seeking a Sr Manager - Systems Engineer mainly focusing on UNIX Engineering to support IBM AIX and be responsible for capacity planning, performance monitoring, environmental enhancements, and supporting the overall architecture of Pseries AIX enviroment. Responsibilities of the Sr Manager - Systems Engineer: - Monitoring the AIX environment for performance issues - Capacity planning - Making recommendation on tools and procedure to help improve our environment.- Provide root cause analysis of P1 incidents.- Work with application teams on any new AIX buildsPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 95,000Maximum: 209,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications-10+ years of UNIX experience -10+ years HACMP experience -10+ years building AIX systems-10+ years of patching AIX experience -10+ years of scripting experience -10+ years of hardware experience IBM platform-10+ years of troubleshooting experiencePreferred Qualifications-Certification in AIX administration. -Experience with HACMP, GPFS -SAN/NAS storage knowledge is a plus. -Knowledge of the SOX, PCI, PII, and HIPPA security standards is desired. -In-depth strong knowledge of AIX -Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client server environments. -In-depth hardware configuration knowledge. -Shell programming experience. -Demonstrated initiative, customer orientation and team work experience. -Ability to multi-task, work independently and problem solve.
