Job DescriptionAs the Sr. Mgr, Department Operations - Government Affairs, you will be responsible helping to manage the department for optimal functionality ensuring the planning, design and execution of various projects, meetings, presentations, and overall coordination within the department. This will include providing both program oversight and day-to-day management, leadership, direction, and administration across the full project life-cycle on medium to large size projects within the Government Affairs team. Provide leadership to ensure Operational Excellence in the launch and tracking of projects of any complexity while delivering the desired results within the agreed upon time frame. Coordinate the efforts of cross unit/cross company teams that can include CVS Health businesses, and other corporate departments. Develop and manage a project plan, timeline, milestones and stakeholders. Own problem analysis, issue spotting, anticipate conflicts, solution validation, risk management, issue resolution/escalation, financial management, and stakeholder engagement processes. Utilize project management professional practices and standard tools Oversee day-to-day aspects of assigned moderate to complex projects to ensure each project is on-time with a high level of quality while delivering all key milestones and deliverables and ensuring all stakeholder input and review. Manage department staff meetings including preparing agendas, guest speakers and ensuring all current and upcoming deliverables are on schedule and known Assist in the coordination of senior leaders of the department for optimal functionality Represent the department in enterprise-wide projects including risk management Prepare presentations for both internal and external audiences, in partnership with internal department stakeholdersNOTE: This is a work from home flexible role meaning you will also report into the office.Be advised the listed salary in the entire band for this grade level. Compensation will be determined by knowledge, skills, abilities, and education for the successful candidate.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 75,400Maximum: 158,300Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications Minimum 8 years hands on project management or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years in a complex matrixed organization or Government Affairs team.Preferred Qualifications Knowledge and understanding of state and/or Federal legislative process or politics is helpful. Ability to work in a fast- paced environment with flexibility and calmness. Experience in a position requiring problem solving, problem analysis and creative solutions skills. Ability to interact with all level of management, including VPs and executives. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Teams. Strong organizational, communication, multi-tasking and follow up skills.Education Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
