If this sounds like the opportunity you're looking for, apply to our Pharmacist role at Omnicare today We can't wait to meet youAs a pharmacist for our Long Term Care Pharmacy you will work in an exciting, dynamic and fast paced environment, ensuring the continuation of pharmacy management's goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. This pharmacist will provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers. We are looking for someone who has a phenomenal work ethic to provide outstanding service and to ensure that the appropriate drug product reaches the customer both efficiently and safely. You will: Ensure accurate entry of orders Maintain security of the pharmacy Adhere to required delivery schedules Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy. Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders. Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling. Preparation and/or supervision of sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required. Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs. Knowledge of DEA and state law with regards to controlled drug dispensing. Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation based on the needs of the business. Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA. Other duties as assigned (these vary by location).This pharmacist will be an integral member of the pharmacy team. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service. The most successful pharmacists demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to prioritize the workflow. The contributions you will make as a Pharmacist in this role will position CVS Health as a leader within the LTC marketplace.This is a full time, benefit eligible position. Responsible for compliance with Omnicare SOPs, all pharmacy laws and regulations including USP 797 sterile compounding guidelines. Maintain all required documentation and clinical monitoring. Fully assess new patients and new orders on existing patients for appropriateness of therapy, high risk medications, allergies, adverse indications and interactions and other potentially adverse outcomes. Consistent and ongoing clinical monitoring of all infusion patients, including TPN patients. Responsible for IV order processing, care coordination with home health agencies, nursing facilities, physicians, and IV nurse consultants. Answer drug related questions as related to IV therapy and management. Communicate with facility consultant pharmacists and clinical staff pharmacists regarding IV patient management. Orient and provide competency assessments for all pharmacists and IV technicians. This includes making certain that all pharmacists and technicians rotating in the IV department have completed the Omnicare Infusion Training Program. Complete required training and competencies annually. Maintain a current knowledge of infusion drugs and therapies, aseptic technique and available infusion devices, products and supplies. Perform dose calculations, infusion volume and administration rates and program infusion pumps. Oversee cleanroom monitoring and pump maintenance. On-call duties as required. This is a full time position offering 35 hours per week. Shifts are scheduled on rotating basis between 9am-9pm Monday-Friday, generally first shift with some second shift coverage required. Every 4th Saturday rotation 8am-4pm with occasional Sundays. There is an on-call requirement for this role.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 35.87Maximum: 77.26Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
