Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing the company's outbound store delivery activities with an emphasis on efficient utilization of company assets, routing software maintenance, route and mile reduction, on-time delivery, efficient route planning and cost containment. The position develops and executes daily route plans for multiple distribution centers that strike a balance between providing the best service possible and optimal cost results. The individual partners with Distribution Center Operations Management, Transportation Management and Field Leadership to create and manage meaningful routing analyses with available reporting tools. The position improves software performance through maintenance of delivery-specific rules and route history in the application and designs out of the box creative solutions in daily routing. This role is a key contributor of a team that has direct influence over an annual transportation spend of $190m.Knowledge of: Transportation operations Distribution center operations Store delivery routing Routing software packagesSkill In: Mastering routing software Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Applied knowledge of distribution and transportation operations, store order processing, and/or retail customer service Experience with Microsoft Office suiteAbility To: Work with and influence Distribution Center and Transportation Leadership as it relates to routing and store polling schedules Deliver results in a fast paced, dealine oriented, pritority shifting environment Work with limited supervision, make decisions and escalate issues as appropriate Engage colleagues at different levels of the organization Manage all stakeholder requirements and communication Influence others with positive results through clear, collaborative communications (written and verbal) across all levels of the organization Provide and speak to statistical data related to routing Achieve regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the jobPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 40,560Maximum: 83,400Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
