Job DescriptionThe Hybrid Cloud Enablement organization leads the end-to-end delivery and operations of cloud services to the CVS Health enterprise. The Cloud Architect is a role inside the Cloud Infrastructure CoE team and is responsible for driving the strategy and architecture of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud services across the three major cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS). In this role, you will ensure we are effectively setting public cloud enterprise standards for CVS Health with an optimized operational model.You will constantly evaluate new cloud products and vendor solutions to recommend the best end-to-end solutions that can be implemented enterprise wide. You will also: Lead the design and implementation of new Cloud capabilities by partnering with our application teams Advocate for Cloud 1st methodology, leveraging cloud native services where applicable and fostering increased enterprise maturity Evaluate cloud technology alternatives and makes a case for the best approach. Hands-on proof of concept work will be required in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud products. Develop design diagrams and corresponding documentation to set enterprise best practices for cloud adoption. Manage relationships with application teams and prioritizes multiple projects as they go from design into production. Collaborate with teams across the company (i.e. network, security, operations) to build complete cloud offerings. Design Disaster Recovery and backup strategies to meet application objectives. Use innovative thinking to shape our standard enterprise cloud architecture offerings and partner with application teams to achieve proper cloud adoption models.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 115,000Maximum: 230,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications3+ years of direct experience migrating, refactoring, and modernizing complex enterprise applications from legacy platforms to the public cloud5+ years of experience in Cloud technologies including IaaS, PaaS, and software-as-a-service.5+ years of expertise in Microservice based architecture, containerization, and automation technologiesPreferred QualificationsSelf-starter with an in-depth hands-on work experience implementing infrastructure patterns and cloud technologies to support applications in Public Cloud providers (Microsoft Azure, Google GCP or AWS)Experience with hybrid cloud networkingKnowledge of multiple scripting languages and DevOps toolsSolid understanding of Cloud Security best practices and IAM capabilities Experience with Agile methods, automation, and toolsAbility to work with APISolid understanding of cloud infrastructure components (network, compute, storage, load balancers) and how applications should best leverage eachProven track record of cloud implementations with deep understanding of public cloud infrastructure conceptsStrong communication skills required as you will be working with internal clients to ensure successful migrations and new designsExperience evaluating and recommending new solutions to meet enterprise requirementsDemonstrated teamwork, positive attitude and good rapport with peers and customersAbility to multitask in a fast paced continually changing environmentEducationBachelor's Degree or Equivalent experienceBusiness OverviewBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
