Job DescriptionThe Senior Analyst will be supporting Aetna Better Health's Michigan Medicaid health plan and report directly to the Plan CFO. This position will be involved in the monthly financial reporting, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, and many other financial processes in support of the health plan financial objectives. The Senior Analyst will be working with a small team to create run reports, analyze large quantities of data and work on a variety of special projects. The right candidate will turn data into information using a creative analytical approach and a variety of reporting technologies and methods.Responsibilities1. Provide data and analysis to support the unit's mission.2. Assist with analysis of key components of financial results and address questions as needed.3. Support financial information requests from Segment financial management.4. Analyze new reporting methods and revise unit processes as needed to provide more meaningful and timely analysis/reporting for senior management.5. Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the unit participating in and sometimes leading special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as needed.6. Streamline processes for efficiency and identify cost savings opportunities within defined scope.7. Develop trend reports to analyze volume, spending, etc. variances.8. Prepare complex ad hoc monthly reports as needed for expenses, staffing and key performance metrics.9. Communicate results to local and regional management.10. Serve as team lead providing guidance and training to less experienced staff members.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 43,700Maximum: 100,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
