Job DescriptionAetna's Medicaid Lead Director Proposal Writing and Content Development creates and drives a strategic vision that positions the organization to consistently produce competitive, compelling and compliant proposal responses that increase our win rate and expand market share. Leading our proposal writing and content management teams, this individual aligns our solutions and strategies (enterprise and local) to each proposal opportunity while collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders to foster alignment and results.The Lead Director Proposal Writing and Content Development defines and documents Aetna proposal content development writing best practices, stands up and maintains a centralized content management repository to create and sustain greater efficiency and productivity, establishes consistent expectations (broadly and proposal-specific), and coaches staff and vendors to those expectations. They maintain a staffing plan, proactively identify upcoming resource needs, secure consultant resources, and oversee multiple vendors during pre-proposal and live bid work efforts. This role positively influences culture, shaping norms and the employee experience, resulting in high engagement, retention and excellent results. They quantitatively and qualitatively define, track and measure proposal quality, resulting in increased scores and wins.Fundamental Components:- Owns writing quality for proposal writing and content development staff and vendors with accountability for improving results- Establishes efficient processes and implements technology to review, curate, track, and store proposal content - Builds relationships with fellow colleagues from the executive suite to individual contributors; achieves proven results in a matrixed environment- Informs and aligns team members around a shared vision through communication approach- Demonstrated facilitation skills with a focus on expectation setting and adaptability to changing needs- Efficiency and productivity focused to achieve maximum outputPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 100,000Maximum: 227,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications- 7+ years' experience with Medicaid managed care proposals and/or 10+ years' healthcare experience (government healthcare preferred)- 10+ years successfully leading teams of people; geographically dispersed leadership experience preferred - Experience building and managing a trusted, global library of repeatable content as central source of proposal truth enterprise-wide- Experience using, evaluating and implementing content management tool - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Influence and persuasion skills; strong collaborator with internal and external stakeholders- Ability to produce high quality results that meet internal and external customer expectations under tight timeframes - Strong team collaboration skills, including subject matter experts (SMEs) and other contributors, and fellow proposal colleagues - Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities by identifying and executing creative solutions - Ability to work flexibly as proposal schedule requires - Ability to travel up to 30% (within United States)Preferred Qualifications- Experience using a variety of electronic collaboration tools- Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) participation - Experience developing competitive analyses- Developing executive presentation decks- Managed care operations experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceEducation- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - Master's degree preferredBusiness OverviewBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
