Clinical Pharmacist, Formulary Management

Job DescriptionThis is a fully remote position in the United States with travel as needed. The Formulary Management Clinical Pharmacist position is an exciting pharmacist opportunity to use your clinical background and business acumen to drive results. As a member of the Aetna Pharmacy Health Plan Team, you will play a critical part of working with the team in setting the multi-year strategy of the commercial pharmacy organization, managing the oversight of the Aetna formularies, leading strategic projects, and managing relationships between Aetna and stakeholders across the greater CVS Health enterprise, particularly with our Caremark partners. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Accountable for clinical policies, including Mental Health Parity- Responsible for all clinical pharmacy needs, including regulatory audits and inquiries- Ensures regulatory compliance- Lead formulary strategy and cost savings initiatives for pharmacy and medical pharmacy- Ensure formularies meet our business needs - Provide responses to state inquiries and handle clarification/objection requests- Collaborate with Pharmacy Actuary to identify potential cost savings opportunities -Responsible for competitive analysis reviews and use intel to determine Formulary & Utilization Management strategies to drive cost savingsPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 84,500Maximum: 182,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications- 5+ years Pharmacy managed care experience - 1+ years PBM Pharmacy experience- Licensed RPh- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish Excellent data analysis/ technical skills including Pharmacy systems, Microsoft office, i.e. Excel, Power Point, and Word. Strong communication, verbal and written, and ability to influence and drive desired behaviors Demonstrated ability to determine key business issues and develop appropriate action plans Work well in a dynamic, complex, customer and team-focused environment with minimal oversite and agile mindsetPreferred Qualifications 5+ years of Managed Care experience desirable OR experience collaborating with Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) or health plan clients Experience presenting information in a formal setting Experience using analytical skills and logic to analyze the business, solve problems, and present recommendations to leaders in an effort to develop solutions.
