Job DescriptionFully remote in the USA.Shift standard business hours.Travel up to 25%.The Mental Well-Being Clinical Innovation team is dedicated to using data and research to inform our Mental Well-Being clinical strategy and design programs that improve health outcomes of specific populations. If you are a licensed clinician and are passionate about working with those struggling with addiction, prevention and are experienced with developing strategy and innovative clinical programs then we want to meet and talk with you. The Sr Clinical Strategist, Mental Well-being Substance use leads the development and implementation of the substance abuse roadmap intended to improve mental health and well-being outcomes of those struggling with addiction while developing strategies to prevent addiction. The Sr Manager will lead a team of clinicians and program managers who will innovate a roadmap that is aligned to our overall Mental Well-being clinical strategy and that is based on research, best practices and the unique needs of those struggling with addiction or who are most at-risk for addiction. Responsibilities:Serves as an addictions subject matter expert, consulting with the executive director and clinical team lead to formulate and organize strategy and operational planning to best address addiction, its impact on specific populations and intersections with other behavioral health and medical conditions and holistic health variables, i.e.) suicidality, social determinants of health. Collaborates with project teams across Mental Wellbeing (Resources for Living and Behavioral Health), Medical Affairs and other enterprise business areas and ensures adoption of strategy and operational roadmap for substance use disorder intervention. Collaborates with enterprise partners, identifies current academic published research offering evidence- based interventions and marketplace new technologies in the addictions space for review of potential adoption and or contracting opportunities In collaboration with Communications and Marketing Partners, communicates strategy based on outlined framework on a regular basis. Engages and coordinates with enterprise, CESI and MWB Quality Management and Data Sciences/Analytics, POD teams to ensure that meaningful measurement, tracking, reporting and analysis is in place for all substance use disorder CSI mental health goals and initiatives including all relevant SAIs.Relying on extensive clinical expertise and experience, identify, drive and support the implementation of targeted clinical prevention and intervention as identified and agreed upon for those impacted by substance use disorders develops and implements clinical interventions such as peer support groups, outreach efforts, home visitation, and therapy groups as aligned with current strategy for at risk populations and involving both internal staff and external contractors. Works toward clinical population health goals by successfully engaging and coordinating with colleagues from Mental Wellbeing (Behavioral Health and Resources for Living), Medical Clinical areas, Consumer Data Analytics (includes Next Best Action teams), Aetna Medicare, Aetna Medicaid , CVS Healthcare Delivery as well as our addiction specialty external partners (non- profit, vendors, medical practices)Provides substance use disorder treatment consultation, coaching and training to both internal staff and external contractors delivering direct clinical interventions to at risk groups and individualsPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 84,500Maximum: 182,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required QualificationsMaster level behavioral health degree and independent license that is current and in good standing in the state the hire resides. 10 years or more of behavioral health experience with 5 years including and or specializing in addictions for adults and adolescents 2 years or more of direct clinical experience in at least one of the following areas: coaching, counseling, care management, or crisis intervention servicesTwo years or more of supervisory and or consultation experienceTwo years or more years of experience managing and leading complex projects yielding strong outcomesPreferred QualificationsAddictions certification Health care managed care experience Executive presentation skillsEducationMaster level behavioral health degreeBusiness OverviewBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
