The Director plays a key role in driving CVS Clinical Trial Services revenue by ensuring ultimate enrollment of patients into CVS conducted trials. The Director will develop and oversee delivery of local recruitment and retention activities to bring patients to CVS Clinical Trial Services (CTS) research sites and engage them through the life of a study. The role also supports development of recruitment and retention strategies and serves as advisor for CTS project management teams on patient enrollment and advocacy interactions. Director will organize patient advocacy liaisons and collaborate with internal study delivery teams, including CVS central recruitment and external vendors. They will also establish metrics to determine the value of patient-centric activities, including patient recruitment and retention and advocates for the patient-centric culture.What you'll do: Ensure that CTS research sites have a patient-focused approach through all phases of the clinical development process, starting with initial recruitment and enrollment. Ultimate responsibility for driving patient enrollment into CVS clinical trial site, through combination of direct team and overseeing partner activities. Oversee local site recruitment team, including setting targets, and ensuring achieving operational goals. Lead Campaign Managers to develop strategies and supporting patient-related activities in selected proposals and bid defenses and, when needed, as the external face for CTS on topics associated with patient engagement, patient recruitment and retention, and patient-centric research and partner engagement. Lead weekly cross-functional operational study recruitment performance meeting. Provide guidance and oversight to the creation of recruitment collateral and content for digital, print, phone, and web advertising. Collaborate on approaches and support for study teams throughout the study's lifecycle to develop and implement plans for patient enrollment, engagement and increase patient retention. Participate in patient centric programs relative to strategic planning and operational aspects of research. Represent and advise leaders on the patient centricity and team member engagement perspective in important discussions. Provide support analyzing campaign performance to improve ROI. Help with feasibility assessments and may also directly connect with potential sites/advocacy organizations for assessment of patient participation and patient-centric protocol considerations. Support enhancing existing patient advocacy or engagement relationships and providing patient-centric input to clients where no such role exists. Develop CTS's relationships with patient advocacy organizations and networks aligned with CTS's therapeutic areas of focus. Identify new areas to benefit from integrating the patient voice into strategy. Participate with other functional leaders to establish a compliant patient and team member engagement and recruitment operating structure with CTS's needs and resources. Monitor external landscape to ensure CTS is best-in-class at methods incorporating the patient voice including review of technologies and vendors which improve the delivery of patient-centric research. Maintain in-depth knowledge of major events and challenges including legislative and regulatory directives regarding patient engagement and patient-centric research and provides instruction and training to team members and managers on those issues. Work on creative ways to differentiate CTS's commitment to patient centricity. Represent CTS at external congresses, meetings, panels, round tables, symposia, etc., as needed.Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 100,000Maximum: 227,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in developing and overseeing patient recruitment and retention strategies, and managing people and/or processesPreferred Qualifications Extensive experience in a role with direct responsibility for patient enrollment into clinical research sites. Experience working as part of a clinical site team. Extensive experience in clinical trials of increasing responsibility and relevant knowledge of GCP/ICH Experience in the CRO or Pharma/Biotech industry in a project management, clinical research, data management, statistics or regulatory affairs capacity including significant experience in in rare disease research or research that incorporates the patient voice Experience in guiding patient recruitment, knowledge of data-driven recruitment approaches preferred Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of how sites support clinical trial enrolment Demonstrated experience managing small teamsEducationBachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceBusiness OverviewBring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
