What You'll Do About the Role: Assistant General Manager The AGM is responsible for providing a positive guest experience, ensuring facility cleanliness, and maintaining a positive work environment. Key duties include hiring, training, and scheduling staff, overseeing the beverage program, assuming GM duties when necessary, managing costs and labor, performing performance reviews, and building guest relationships. Qualifications include ServSafe and Anti-Harassment certifications., you'll play a key part in executing our concept, ensuring our guests receive top-notch service in a lively, fast-paced setting at all of our locations in Los Angeles. This position requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays "”we're looking for team members who are excited to be part of the action when the restaurant is at its busiest. Key Responsibilities Actively hiring staff for the restaurant Recruit professional, hard-working hourly staff for all FOH positions All candidates must meet with the AGM and GM  Manage staff training schedules and materials Ensure all new hires are onboarded correctly Ensure all training materials are up-to-date, detailed and thorough All new hires must be given an orientation - including an introduction to corporate team members, key members of staff, facilities, and all other relevant information Ensure all trainees are given appropriate training schedules and adhering to the testing/training schedule Continue training staff after hire Develop staff with see-it-say-it mentality - provide constant feedback, support the staff on the floor, continual training Liaising with Head of Beverage, CDC, DOO, and GM for focus points, continuing education opportunities, re-training opportunities Developing a path for growth for key employees All FOH Scheduling Schedules must be posted 30 days out in advance minimum Holiday schedule 3 months in advance Responsible for finding coverage, approving swaps/pickups, and making changes to permanent schedule Beverage Program Oversight With GM, supervise the Beverage Manager, providing guidance and support to maintain and grow the beverage program. Understand and deploy SOP in accordance with all beverage items and ensure equipment is performing to standard. Ability to step in for inventory in absence of Beverage Manager Maintain working knowledge of the cocktails (if applicable), wine, coffee, and overall beverage program to assist in sales goals, inventory, and training. Participate in sales goal tracking, beverage forecasting, COGS diagnostics and planning with Beverage Manager, GM, Head of Beverage and Helen. Ensure alignment of beverage programming with guest experience and operational goals. 6 months - 1 year of beverage program experience. Learn and assume all GM duties when GM is not present in the building Daily payroll prep and payroll packet maintenance Invoice tracking, scanning and entering into PCL. Financial document maintenance Other duties as necessary Adding positive energy to the daily operations of the restaurant. Understand and manage costs in the restaurant, including receiving product, entering invoices, overseeing inventories and daily spending. Understand and manage labor, OT and break penalties.  Develop a good working knowledge of the financial aspects of the restaurant including the PCL, Petty Cash Sheet, Inventory documents and Inventory Reporting via MarginEdge. Communicate all challenges that arise on a daily basis with appropriate supervisors and problem solve together.  Performing annual performance reviews for management and hourly staff Ensure a hospitable experience for all guests and maintain high guest satisfaction. Creating relationships with all guests and providing a welcoming environment through guest interactions at the front door, table-touching, in the wine shop, and via e-mail or phone correspondence. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to handle challenges with a calm and positive demeanor. Desire to learn and grow as a leader, with a love for coaching and developing others Ability to work   nights, weekends, and holidays   to support the flow of our all-day, every-day operations. ServSafe Manager Certification   and Anti-Harassment Certificate (or willingness to obtain). Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, reach, and engage with guests for extended periods.
