Supervisor - Respiratory Care, Nights

OverviewPlease read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.$7,500.00 sign on bonus.Nights.3, 12 hour shifts.Additional Administrative hours to make it a 40 hour work week.Develops, updates, and implements various policies and procedures related to the practice of respiratory care. Plans and executes special projects.ResponsibilitiesEnsures that quality of care provided by staff meets standards by direct observation and individual instruction. Provides direct feedback to staff, including development of improvement plans.Supervises the daily operations of the department and personnel. Assigns and oversees work assignments.Coordinates and provides instruction of staff, students, nurse, and medical residents in respiratory care theory and practice. Develops in-service programs in conjunction with the administrative director.Participates in leadership meetings with the administrative and medical directors. Leads small group meetings and inter-shift report. Assists in conflict resolution between staff and disciplines.Acts as a consultant for staff RCPs, RNs, and MDs regarding patient assessment and care plan development.Participates in the development of post hospitalization discharge planning for patients with high-level respiratory care needs.Utilizes competency in all specific areas of practice including adults, pediatrics, and neonatal respiratory care.Evaluates and discusses new products and equipment with staff and sales representatives. Arranges for equipment in-services.Keeps abreast of new developments in the field.Performs other duties as required or assigned.Qualifications5 years of experience required.Bachelor's degree and supervisory experience preferred.Required Licensure/Certifications- Licensed Respiratory Care Practioner in NH. - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) upon hire. - ACLS upon hire. - PALS within 6 months of hire date - NRP within 6 months of hire date.Area of Interest: Allied HealthFTE/Hours per pay period: 1.00 - 1.00 - 40 hrs/weekShift: NightJob ID: 28836Dartmouth Health is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
