Business Development OfficerThe Business Development Director will work closely with the Americas Corporate sales team to expand Moody's presence and visibility by creating new connections, developing client relationships, and identifying growth opportunities. The focus for this role will be on one of the following sectors: Industrials, TMT, Consumers, and sub-sectors. Understand the sub-sector specific client base and market opportunities globally Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to drive market engagement and raise awareness of Moody's capabilities. Develop a network of senior stakeholders (CIOs, CFOs, CCOs, CEOs, CROs) to connect with Moody's leadership and participate in client advisory boards. Conduct self-initiated meetings to broaden touchpoints within our Strategic Corporate business Identify and participate in key industry events to expand Moody's reach Establish links with key industry associations Source new opportunities through events, networking, profiling, and market intelligence Work with product management to understand offerings and share market feedback Highlight growth opportunities with senior management Support or lead colleagues on specific opportunities Refer leads to sales teams for potential sales activities Collaborate with marketing on outreach plans including PR, conferences, and speaking engagements Identify opportunities, analyze risks, and build business cases Support strategies to accelerate go-to-market success Qualifications:Undergraduate degree (e.g., Bachelor's) required Graduate degree (e.g., MBA, Master's, Ph.D.) preferred Typically 10-12 years of industry experience in the relevant sub-sector Proven track record of developing client networks and relationships Strong familiarity with insurance market drivers and trends Broad understanding of the competitive landscape in targeted sectors Experience in thought leadership, research, publications, and speaking engagements (preferred) International experience preferred Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to senior audiences Travel approximately 25% For US-based roles, the anticipated salary range is $163,300 - $236,800, depending on experience and other factors.
