Licensed Practical Nurse$35-$41/hourPosition Summary:The School-Based LPN provides one on one health services to a student, assisting with medical needs, chronic condition management, and emergency care while promoting a healthy school environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide basic first aid and emergency care to students and staff.Ability to work 1:1 with a student that has intellectual disabilities and special needs.Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders.Provide direct nursing care to the assigned student based on their Individualized Healthcare Plan (IHP) and physician orders.Administer prescribed medications and treatments as needed.Monitor and assess the student's health status throughout the school day.Assist with mobility, feeding, toileting, and other daily living activities as required.Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.Educate students and staff on hygiene, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyles.Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to develop care plans for students with medical needs.Support the Registered Nurse (RN) in managing the school health office and handling student health concerns.BenefitsMedical, Dental & Vision - CignaLife, LTD & STDSupplemental Insurances401k (once eligible)PTOCEUsReferral programProfessional development assistanceDiscipline-specific mentorOnline community of cliniciansEducation/License/Certification:Completion of an Approved Practical Nursing ProgramSuccessful Completion of the NCLEX-PN ExaminationCurrentLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensein Washington.Accepting Applications Through 5/31/2025Care Options for Kids is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
