Siemens is offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that supports the cutting-edge Siemens Charger locomotives and Venture single-level coaches. These state-of-the-art diesel-electric locomotives feature Tier 4, 4,400 HP engines and are transforming rail travel across the United States. As part of our on-site team, you'll collaborate directly with customers to ensure high performance and reliability during the warranty period. This hands-on role will train you to troubleshoot, repair, and implement field modifications, helping to drive customer satisfaction and product excellence. Initial Location: Stockton, CA (first 6 months) Relocation Required: Philadelphia, PA (after 6 months for the next project phase) What your day-to-day will look like : Commission and support warranty operations for locomotives and coaches Troubleshoot and analyze mechanical and electrical failures Perform repairs using mechanical drawings, schematics, and circuit plans Use diagnostic software and laptops to assess onboard systems Identify root causes of issues and recommend corrective actions Document failures, repairs, and modifications in our database Implement Field Modifications (FMIs) to enhance product quality Communicate effectively with team members, site leads, and managers Handle parts returns and repairs (RMA process) Operate shop machinery and hand tools in a hands-on environment Follow all company and industry safety standards and procedures To thrive in this role, you have: High school diploma or GED Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Willingness to relocate after initial assignment Valid driver's license in good standing Interest in learning and working with electrical and mechanical systems Hands-on mindset and a passion for problem-solving Why you'll love working for Siemens!
