Keymark Corporation of Florida is actively interviewing applicants for Overhead Crane Maintenance and Inspection Technician.The Overhead Crane Maintenance and Inspection Technician role is offered with hourly compensation ranging in annual earnings between $66,560 - $83,200, depending on your knowledge and experience level.We have a safety-first culture, and your role at Keymark will require you to be highly aware of production plant safety.Scope of work:In a fast-paced manufacturing setting, the Maintenance & Inspection Technician is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, and upkeep of overhead cranes and hoisting systems. This role helps ensure uninterrupted production flow by maintaining safe and operational lifting equipment in compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and plant safety standards. We offer employees a full benefits package, including: Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance 6 paid holidays 1 floating holiday 1-3 weeks paid vacation time off 401(k) + company match Supplemental coverages Free life insurance Key Responsibilities: Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections of overhead cranes, hoists, slings, chains, and lifting devices. Perform preventive maintenance including lubrication, mechanical adjustments, minor part replacement, and operational testing. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components, including brakes, motors, limit switches, control systems, and wiring. Maintain detailed inspection logs, maintenance records, and repair reports per OSHA 1910.179 and company policy. Tag and lockout equipment for maintenance following LOTO procedures. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for crane-related failures or safety issues. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to schedule crane downtime with minimal impact to production. Respond to urgent maintenance requests promptly to reduce production interruptions. Ensure tools and parts are organized and accounted for; report inventory needs. Work safely at heights and in confined or elevated spaces when needed. Identify potential improvements in crane reliability and maintenance practices.  Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in mechanical or industrial maintenance preferred. 2+ years of experience maintaining overhead cranes in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of OSHA 1910.179 (Overhead and Gantry Cranes) and ANSI/ASME crane inspection standards. Experience with troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical systems. Familiar with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) preferred. Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders, and wear fall protection. Basic computer skills; ability to enter data and complete work orders electronically. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Willingness to work overtime or rotating shifts if needed.  Working Conditions:As is customary in an extrusion and manufacturing facility, the employee must be aware of the automatic machines, overhead cranes, and mobile equipment.Ambient temperatures will vary but can be high during the day and seasons of the year. Protective garment requirements can further add to working temperatures. Hydration beverages are available throughout the shift, and employees are encouraged to maintain hydration levels. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, walk/stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks in varying temperatures. Regularly exposed to noise, dust, grease, and moving machinery.
