Maintenance Technician- Brown Deer

Signicast seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the functionality of our facilities and equipment. This position is a 12-hour shift 6 pm- 6 am on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or 1st shift Monday-Friday also available. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting * Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; and using precision measuring and testing instruments. * Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; and examining the function, form, and texture of parts. * Fabricates repair parts with machine shop instrumentation and equipment using basic machinist skills. * Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, digital multimeter, and straightedges to manufacturer or company specifications * Controls downtime by scheduling with supervisors and technicians routine preventive maintenance techniques * Operate an electric cart, forklift, articulating boom, and manlift Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Good Computer Skills * Operating various precision measuring devices and lifting devices * HVAC Knowledge * Chain Drives * Electrical Knowledge- PLC knowledge is a plus * Mechanical Knowledge (gearbox rebuilds, belt replacement, motor replacement) * Conveyor Experience * Hydraulics/Pneumatics * Ability to read Blueprints and Schematics * Plumbing Experience * Read, write, and speak English * Ability to safely perform the duties of the job as required Work Environment/Physical Demands * Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear * Use hands to work tools, controls, etc. * Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Education and Experience * High School Diploma or HSED/GED Equivalent * 2-5 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience * Manufacturing Environment experience is a plus
