As a Technical Writer, you'll bridge the gap between complex digital processes and user-friendly documentation that empowers both staff and public users.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Create user-centered documentation including step-by-step guides, FAQs, and internal manuals for the DallasNow platform• Collaborate with subject matter experts to accurately translate workflows into clear instructions• Observe and document new and existing processes through live walkthroughs• Develop consistent, accessible content in line with department standards• Support the training team by producing job aids and quick-reference materialsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• Experience in technical writing within government, software, or permitting settings• Strong writing skills focused on clarity, structure, and user experience• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Outlook• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and deadline disciplineCORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS• Microsoft Word• Microsoft Outlook• Accela (preferred)• Shared documentation repositoriesPREFERRED SKILLS• Knowledge of municipal planning, zoning, or permitting processes• Experience with software documentation or deployment-related content• Ability to incorporate visuals or diagrams into technical materialsLEGAL NOTICEBy applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from CornerStone and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
