Financial Analyst

Vaco Boston has partnered with a venture capital firm in Boston (hybrid work environment) that is looking to bring on a Financial Analyst to their team. This role will support executive management by driving many FP&A initiatives and providing insightful financial analysis.Responsibilities:Partner with stakeholders to facilitate and develop annual budgets, forecasts, and the strategic long-range planDrive budget vs actual discussions with general managers and department headsIdentify opportunities to drive continuous improvements in management reporting, forecasting processes and analyticsPrepare actionable and insightful management reporting and analytics that drive increased profitabilityPrepare and distribute timely and accurate reporting to stakeholdersPrepare reporting packages and relevant financial analysis for the Board of Directors and executive managementPlanning system administration such as inputting actuals, headcount reconciliation, and account & entity maintenanceAd hoc analysis and projects as requiredQualifications:A bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting. MBA, CPA, and CFA a plusAt least 2 years of financial analysis working in a complex environmentWillingness to dig into details and analyze variances and trendsPrior experience consolidating financial resultsA history of strong analytical skills with superior attention to detailFinancial modeling skills and advanced Excel proficiencyExperience as a self-starter and ability to meet goals and deadlines while working independentlyStrong communication and presentation skills and the ability to interact with and build productive working relationships at all levelsStrong working knowledge of financial and forecasting systems.Power BI experience preferredDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
