ABOUT THE ROLEThe Instrumentation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting electronic and pneumatic instruments essential to plant operations. This role ensures equipment runs safely and efficiently, interprets technical diagrams, maintains accurate records, and supports inventory management and technician training. This procedure pertains to all OK paperboard personnel performing Instrumentation Technician functions.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGTo ensure precision and functionality of instruments vital for smooth operations of machinery and processes.Maintain, troubleshoot and repair various electronic and pneumatic instruments and control systems.Testing and calibrating instruments to ensure they perform at their optimal capacity.Reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation and operation of stalling new instrumentation and control systems as per specifications and safety guidelines.Working closely with other technical personnel to resolve any equipment issues or breakdowns.Following safety procedures and regulations while performing all tasks.Documenting all maintenance, repair, and testing activities for future reference and auditing.Providing training and guidance to less experienced technicians.Ordering and managing inventory of instruments, parts, and equipment.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORHigh school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in instrumentation, electronics, or related field preferred2+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation maintenance and repairStrong understanding of electronic and pneumatic control systemsAbility to read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematicsProficient in the use of testing and calibration toolsFamiliarity with safety protocols, including lockout/tagout proceduresExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsForklift operation experience and adherence to seat belt safety guidelinesAbility to train and mentor less experienced techniciansUnderstanding of PLCsSafety/Personal Protective EquipmentSafety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and gloves (Except around nip points)No rings, necklaces (chains), watches or bracelets.No loose clothing.Always wear a seat belt when operating a fork truck.Using proper lockout tagout procedures is always required.Be aware of not only yours, but also your coworker's surroundings.WHAT WE OFFERCompetitive CompensationRetirement SavingsMedical, Dental, Disability and Life Insurance CoverageHolistic Health & Well-Being ProgramsHealth Savings Accounts (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) forHealth and Dependent CareVision and other Voluntary Benefits and DiscountsPaid Time Off and HolidaysPaid Parental Leave (Maternity and Paternity)Educational Assistance ProgramBUILDING INCLUSIVE WORKSPACES At Amrize, there is endless opportunity for you to play your part.
