Stout NYC Hospitality Group consists of a dozen owner-operated bars/restaurants throughout New York City. Our mission is to provide authentic, accessible, desirable spaces for people seeking meaningful connections with friends, family, and colleagues. With specific attention to the guest experience and our food and drinks programs, our aim is to create a true home for the public to come as they are. We are seeking a full-time manager to join our growing team.  The position includes traditional management responsibilities: schedules, guest interaction and relations, service team direction and support, concept and morale driving, service standards enforcement, and support of management team, with a concentration on floor presence, steps of service, staff training and continuing education. The ideal candidate will have significant service experience, along with some management experience.   Nights and weekend availability is a must.  We offer very reasonable hours for the industry, competitive salary, and potential for advancement for the right candidate. Responsibilities Include:   • Ensure a high level of hospitality and maintain a guest first mentality to drive the business forward. • Provide leadership and direction in real time to employees to improve performance and role model a high level of initiative and drive. • Oversee and participate in the recruiting and hiring of high-quality employees and development of the team • Teach, coach and mentor a diverse hourly FOH staff on a daily basis. • Manage all facets of day to day operations with detailed approach to safety, restaurant maintenance, repairs, and sanitation/cleanliness. • Comply with safety and DOH regulations Candidates should have: • Excellent communication skill and critical thinking / decision-making skills • The ability to train and motivate staff • Ability to drive and measure performance/success • Works well in a team environment and values quality and guest service.   • Previous experience managing a restaurant with an expansive bar menu is a strong plus.   Must be available to work some late nights and weekends.
