Location:Moline, Illinois Employment Type:Full-Time Industry:Aviation / Aerospace Shift:Day and/or 2nd ShiftSTS Technical Services is hiring experiencedAvionics Installation Techniciansto join a fast-moving, high-performing maintenance team in Moline, Illinois. This role is hands-on, technical, and mission-critical. If you know your way around aircraft wiring, enjoy working on corporate jets, and want to be part of a company that values expertise, this is your shot.Role Overview:In this role, you'll be responsible for inspecting, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex electrical and avionics systems on corporate jet aircraft. You'll work directly with aircraft wiring, panels, systems, and avionics components-ensuring functionality, safety, and compliance every step of the way.What You'll Do: Remove and install panels, components, interiors, and avionics systemsBundle and install wiring connectors with precisionRemove outdated wiring and install new wire bundles according to specsTroubleshoot and evaluate avionics systems as neededPerform inspections on aircraft and avionics componentsAssist with aircraft movement and hangar positioningMaintain shop tools, equipment, and work environmentNavigate maintenance databases and digital manualsWork independently or as part of a collaborative teamFollow all company, FAA, and airport guidelinesPerform additional tasks as assigned by leadership Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience working with electrical and avionics systems on corporate jet aircraftHigh school diploma or equivalentCompletion of formal electronics or avionics trainingStrong understanding of FARs 43, 65, 91, 135, and 145Must meet airport security clearance requirements (AOA badge eligibility)Ability to read, interpret, and execute work based on technical documentation Preferred Experience: Corporate jet experience on platforms like Learjet, Citation, Hawker, Gulfstream, Falcon, or similarPrevious experience with aircraft wire routing, troubleshooting, or integrationGeneral maintenance background in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station Skills and Competencies: High mechanical aptitude and attention to detailStrong communication skills and a calm, team-first attitudeWillingness to mentor and be mentored in a fast-paced environmentAbility to maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspaceProactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning About STS Technical Services:STS Technical Services is the staffing engine of STS Technical Group and STS Aviation Group.
