are not limited to Performs construction related field tests as directed by the Construction Materials Testing CMT Manager and Senior EngineerRelays information to project manager andor engineer with limited in field decision makingTransports equipment test specimens andor documents to field personnel laboratory clients or other offices and provides physical assistance in equipment set upEnters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronicallyPerforms field quality control tests of concrete and masonry constructionPerforms field density testing on soil concrete asphalt and other construction materialsAssists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and supports other departments as necessaryMentorship and training support of other technicians and internsFollows Atlas safety policies and proceduresAbility to read and interpret construction plans and specsAbility to follow Atlas QC plan and SOPsList duties are tasks critical to successMinimum requirements High school diploma or equivalentValid drivers license1 year minimum experience with concrete masonry soils and asphalt testing and InspectionsPhysical strength stamina and dexterity to lift and move 50 lbs stoop bend and stand throughout the course of a day in varying weather conditions in varying terrainMotivated career oriented individual striving to learn and achieve within the construction industryMust be willing to travel near the reporting office and surrounding areas as required by assignmentsWorks well independentlyTechnical requirements ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1Nuclear Gauge User Safety Certification NEPA FERC etcEPA FERC etc Must be ACI Certified or able to complete immediately after startOther miscellaneous qualitiesPreferences Secondary education within the field eg Civil Engineering Construction Management Geology etcValid ICC NICET NETTCP or other pertinent industry certificationsMaterials Laboratory experience would be a plusSpecial Inspection
