STS Technical Services is hiringAircraft MechanicsinEast Alton, Illinoisto perform high-level inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and system adjustments on corporate aircraft. This is a hands-on position for experienced A&P licensed professionals who take pride in precision maintenance and quality workmanship. If you bring a background in military or corporate aviation and are ready to take on advanced projects, we encourage you to apply.Key Responsibilities: Perform general to complex maintenance tasks on aircraft and related systemsInstall, remove, and repair components, panels, and sheet metal structuresDisassemble and inspect engines, parts, and systems for non-conformitiesRebuild or replace aircraft structures, including wings, fuselage, and hydraulic systemsAssemble electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural accessoriesConduct system servicing including crankcase flushing, brake checks, and greasingTest engine and system operations using specialized equipment and sound detectionInterpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and repair specificationsAlign, calibrate, and adjust systems with hand tools and gaugesSupport maintenance of shop tools, facility, and equipmentWork independently and provide support to less experienced technicians as needed Qualifications: High school diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree in Aviation Technology preferredFAA A&P License requiredMinimum of 1 year of current experience in corporate or military aircraft maintenanceProficiency in basic computer applicationsFamiliarity with aviation software platforms (Corridor preferred)Valid driver's license required; passport preferredMust pass pre-employment drug screening and comply with FAA-mandated drug and alcohol programStrong attention to quality, safety, and detailMust be reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in fast-paced settingsWillingness to work overtime and flexible shifts based on aircraft schedules Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbsRoutine walking, standing, bending, squatting, sitting, and stoopingRepetitive arm and hand movements required for manual tasksWork in hangar environments with wide temperature variation Benefits:STS Technical Services offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes: Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance401(k) with company matchPaid holidays and vacation timeOpportunities for long-term career advancement in aviation About STS Technical Services:STS Technical Services is aTop 100 Staffing Firmthat partners with top aerospace and defense companies across the United States.
