Truck Mechanic

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy-Duty Truck Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on diesel-powered trucks, trailers, and other heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our fleet.Key Responsibilities:Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy-duty trucks and trailersPerform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake checks, tire rotations, and fluid checksRepair and replace malfunctioning components including engines, transmissions, axles, braking systems, suspensions, and cooling systemsUse diagnostic tools and software to identify system malfunctionsMaintain detailed records of maintenance work, parts used, and labor timeEnsure all repairs meet DOT, OSHA, and company safety and compliance standardsOperate shop tools and equipment including lifts, jacks, grinders, welders, and pneumatic toolsRespond to road calls or breakdowns when requiredKeep shop clean, organized, and safe by following all safety procedures and company policiesRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferredProven experience as a heavy-duty or diesel truck mechanicStrong knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, drivetrains, and diagnostic systemsProficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic softwareAbility to read and interpret repair manuals, schematics, and technical documentsValid driver's license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain)Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in physically demanding conditionsWillingness to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends if neededIND1 Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
